Our proud new chapter as a Certified B Corporation
We’re delighted to announce that Archetype UK is now a Certified B Corporation. Years in the making, this milestone serves as a declaration of our commitment to our mission: to accelerate positive impact for people and planet.
Becoming a B Corp means that we now join a global community of leading organisations who understand that business impacts more than just the bottom line. It’s an unwavering legal commitment – built into our company Articles of Association – to meet high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.
The rightly strenuous journey towards certification has been enlightening and challenging but has also validated our core belief that you can run a commercially successful business while benefiting people, communities and the planet. It’s not mutually exclusive.
Being a Certified B Corporation demonstrates that we are a fair, inclusive and equitable employer. And that our environmental passion is not greenwash. We do what we say.
We partner with industry leaders, such as Generation Investment Management, BayWa r.e and others to ensure at least 25% of our client portfolio is mission-aligned, with greater targets set for the coming years.
In the last twelve months, our partnership with the Rainforest Trust resulted in the protection and storage of 1.49 million tonnes of CO2 equivalents (actually storing it in living trees, rather than delving into the murky world of carbon credits), significantly exceeding our emissions of 1.21 tCO2e – also upholding our commitment to donate 1% of our profits to charitable causes.
We are a founding business of the London Mayor’s Business Climate Challenge, driving down participants’ building emissions since 2021 by 16%. We sit on the sustainable steering group of The Fitzrovia Partnership to improve local environmental, social and economic sustainability through community engagement.
Guided by our ethics council, we actively reject client opportunities (two of significance in 2023) that are commercially lucrative but ethically costly and contravene our industry/practice policy.

In this new chapter, we pledge to continue innovating, inspiring, and impacting. We are committed to using our business as a force for good, leveraging our talents, resources, and influence to create positive change.
This commitment is now more than just an aspiration: it’s a measurable, accountable part of who we are.
Being one of just a handful of B Corp communications and digital marketing agencies, we now want to inspire others in our industry to do similar.
